Habbitree Premium Flax Seeds

Roasted vs Raw Seeds: What's Different?

Habbitree sells one seed that is described as roasted: the Roasted Flax Seeds. Its page says roasting brings out a nutty flavour and a satisfying crunch.

What the pages tell us

  • Roasted flax seeds: 100% roasted flax seeds, best before 9 months, ready to eat as a crunchy snack or over oats, yoghurt and salads.
  • Whole flax seeds: 100% flax seeds, best before 9 months, used in smoothies, yoghurt, dough and baking.

The roasted flax page doesn’t include a nutrition table in text, and the other seed pages don’t say whether their seeds are roasted or raw, so we can’t compare nutrition. In general, roasting changes flavour and texture. Check the pack for the nutrition figures. For a comparison of the flax forms, see Flax Seeds: Whole, Roasted or Ground?
