How to Pack Nuts and Dry Fruits for Travel

Nuts and dried fruit travel well if you protect them from heat and moisture, which is what Habbitree’s storage advice is about.

  • Portion 30 g servings into small airtight containers.
  • Keep them away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Reseal the main pack after each use.
  • Use a dry spoon or clean, dry hands.

Good travel choices include whole almonds, cashews and roasted pistachios (each best before 9 months) and Black Kishmish (18 months). For tree-nut-free company, bring seeds instead, though their packs are made in facilities that also handle nuts.
