Flaxseed Roti: An Easy Way to Use Ground Flax
Share
Habbitree’s Flax Seed Powder page suggests adding it to atta. This is an idea, not a tested recipe, and the page gives no quantity, so treat these amounts as a starting point.
For about four rotis
- 1 cup (about 120 g) whole wheat atta
- 1 to 2 tablespoons flax seed powder
- A pinch of salt and water to knead
Method
- Mix the flax powder into the atta with the salt.
- Add water gradually and knead to a soft dough.
- Rest the dough for a few minutes, then roll and cook as usual.
Start with the smaller amount and adjust. The powder is stone-ground and refrigeration is recommended after opening.
